Your dead battery is worth money. It is lead, and lead is recycled. Every listing on this site therefore shows two prices.

With old battery (same Ah)

You hand your old battery of the same Ah rating to the technician at delivery. The exchange value is already deducted from the price you see — there is nothing to claim and nothing to negotiate on your doorstep.

Without old battery

You keep your old one. This is the higher of the two prices, and the difference between them is exactly what the exchange is worth.

If your old battery is a different Ah

It still has value, just not the same value — scrap is priced by weight. Tell us what you have and we will confirm the amount before dispatch, so the figure is agreed before the technician arrives rather than after.

Why we insist on taking it

A lead-acid battery is hazardous waste and belongs with a licensed recycler, not in a bin or with a scrap dealer who drains the acid onto the ground. Every battery we collect goes back to the manufacturer's recycling chain.
